Crystal Cox was born and raised in mid-Missouri. She is currently earning her MFA at the University of Idaho where she teaches first-year composition and creative writing. Crystal writes about twinhood, alikeness, familial and generational trauma, rurality, and home, among other things. She is the recipient of a 2022 Academy of American Poets University Prize and a 2023 Centrum Fellowship. With seven years of literary publishing experience, she currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Fugue Journal.
